DESIGN challenge

Create an environment that is comforting to patients, supports caregiver workflow and provides ease of navigation to family members.

SOLUTION

Caregiver workstations are set up as touchdown points along the corridor for the most efficient workflow in which light panels are incorporated to identify them as a point of information and also to provide soft lighting of the corridor during the evening hours.

Wood supply cabinets and soffits frame the entrance to each patient room. Spacious patient rooms filled with soft colors identify caregiver, patient and family zones by use of materials and accenting the footwall.
